   Xbox One won't connect to WiFi network with correct password

   Hey guys,

   This is driving me crazy. My Xbox One refuses to connect to my local WiFi network, fifty-fifty though all the credentials are correct. I've tried everything I can imagine: resetting my router, hard resetting the Xbox One, resetting the Xbox I MAC address and changing the Xbox organisation proper name. The only matter that DID work was a full factory reset of the Xbox, later on which I was perfectly able to connect to the said WiFi network, only to exist kicked out after 30 minutes or so, afterward which I was over again unable to connect. The router is non filtering any MAC addresses. A cabled connexion works fine (but is not really applied considering I would take to run a cable straight through the living room). I've also tried unlike router units, with no effect.

   Any ideas on how to fix this?

   Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. Nosotros empathise that your console is not accepting your network's WiFi password. Are yous using an Xbox One or an Xbox 360? What is the exact mistake message or error lawmaking that appears when you try to connect
   to your network? We recommend making 1 of your other devices like a phone or tablet forget your network's WiFi password. Try connecting that device dorsum to the WiFi with the same password. This is to double bank check that the password that you are entering is
   correct. Be sure to allow us know the results GillFulbrook!

   I couldn't assistance simply detect you stated "using the same Microsoft account every bit my xbox one is as well." The MS Account log on needs to be the same simply if you phone is connected to the AT&T network and not using the WiFi from the router, then information technology won't connect
   even if you manually enter the IP address because it's not seeing it on the same network. If you go to your Phone, select WiFi, then enter the password to connect to the WiFi. At present attempt loading the Smartglass app and it should see your Xbox Ane. If you don't
   connect your Telephone to the same WiFi your Xbox is using information technology will never encounter it. Promise this helps!

   i can even connect on my hotspot from my telephone just fine

   however, on the home wifi network i was connected to when all this began, information technology will find it, ask me to put in the wifi password, then refuse to connect.

   while watching my modem/routers connectedness screen, the xbox does not even actually endeavor to connect

   Is this a new Xbox? If so, then you should follow this Xbox support link:

   Network Settings on Xbox One

   Otherwise, if yous take used this Xbox before with your WiFi and you recently came across this consequence, I would recommend completely disconnecting network via Xbox Settings, and shutting off & turning on your device. Additionally, I would check your router
   / network force to come across whether information technology has something to exercise with the WiFi network you are trying to connect to. Also, make sure y'all are entering the correct password (if network is password protected).
